Located in the rolling hills of New Castle, Pennsylvania, our 45-acre homestead is more than just a piece of land—it is a living archive of American agricultural heritage, a sanctuary for wildlife, and the place where our family’s daily life meets the rhythm of the seasons.
A Century of Stewardship
Our story began back in 1900, when the foundation of this homestead was first laid. For over 125 years, generations of stewards have looked out over these same fields. Standing tall as a testament to that enduring history is our classic brick farmhouse, a structure built with the kind of turn-of-the-century craftsmanship that was meant to weather any storm.
When you walk our grounds, you are walking through history. We’ve worked hard to preserve the vintage outbuildings that give this land its character:
- The Historic Bank Barn: A multi-level icon of traditional farming that still stands proud.
- The Original Corn Crib & Machinery Shed: Reminders of the grit, sweat, and community effort that built the agricultural backbone of Lawrence County.
Life by the Water and the Woods
At the heart of our daily life is our tranquil, spring-fed pond. It serves as our community center of sorts—a natural sanctuary where blue herons visit, deer stop by for a morning drink, and our family gathers to watch the sunrise over the water.
With 45 acres of rich, versatile land, our homestead is a playground for sustainable living. Blessed with natural spring water, we are constantly working hand-in-hand with nature to cultivate a life that is intentional, self-sufficient, and deeply rooted.
Gathering Around the Hearth
Inside our 3,456-square-foot brick home, life revolves around hospitality and warmth. With 5 bedrooms and three roaring fireplaces, this house was quite literally built for gathering.
From our light-filled four-season sunroom—where we watch the changing Pennsylvania seasons with a morning cup of coffee—to our bustling lower-level kitchen where we process the harvest, bake, and host friends, every inch of this home is filled with laughter, mud-room boots, and the smell of home-cooked meals.
