Hi, I’m Jackie, and I am incredibly blessed beyond measure — but I am also nowhere near perfect. I am human. I make mistakes, I forget the simplest things, I burn things in the kitchen, and I sometimes start projects with the best intentions only to laugh at myself later when they don’t go exactly as planned. But those moments are part of my story, and they make me who God created me to be.
My greatest desire is to live a life that is 100% true to who God has called me to be. I put God first, my family second, and everything else after. I believe this life is a gift, and every day is an opportunity to love deeper, serve others, laugh harder, and appreciate the little blessings that surround us.
I am a wife, a mom, a businesswoman, a homesteader, and a woman constantly learning and growing. I am married to my best friend, and together we are raising our family on our 45-acre homestead where the days are filled with hard work, laughter, animals, and a whole lot of love.
Our little piece of heaven continues to grow and change. We currently have Black Angus cows, dairy goats, chickens, guineas, turkeys, geese, ducks, barn cats, a livestock guardian dog, three house dogs, four miniature donkeys, and I’m sure our list will continue to grow because apparently I have a hard time saying no to animals.
I love being outside with the grass between my toes, my hands in the dirt, and taking in the beauty of everything God has created. Whether it’s watching flowers bloom, seeing bumble bees gather, listening to the rain, or watching a storm roll across the sky, I am constantly reminded that we serve an amazing Creator. There is beauty everywhere when we take the time to slow down and notice it.
Beyond the farm, I am also a full-time Regional Property Manager, and I truly love what I do. I have the privilege of helping people find homes, creating communities, and working toward a place where owners and residents can respect each other and co-exist. I believe a home is more than four walls — it is where memories are made, families grow, and lives happen.
I have also had the blessing of flipping homes with my husband and watching wonderful families turn those houses into their forever homes. There is something incredibly special about helping create a place where someone feels safe, loved, and at home.
I love cooking, baking, gardening, and attempting to keep a sourdough starter alive (which usually fails somewhere around day five — but I keep trying because apparently I enjoy the challenge). I love making people laugh, embracing the gifts God has given me, and discovering new ones along the way.
I have friends who have become family and family who have taught me that relationships are built through love, grace, and showing up for one another.
I have embraced my gray hairs, my natural beauty, my imperfections, and the beautiful season of life God has placed me in. I am not here to pretend I have everything figured out. I am here to share the messy, wonderful, faith-filled journey of everyday life.
So welcome to Not That Mom — a place for faith, family, farming, laughter, and finding joy in the beautiful chaos.
I hope you find encouragement here. I hope you laugh with me, learn with me, and maybe see a little piece of your own story somewhere along the way.
Because this world is temporary, but the love we share, the lives we impact, and the legacy we build matter forever.
Let’s walk together through this beautiful, messy, God-given life.
